CryptoResearch Journal and Conference Series
Welcome to the Digital Currency Initiative’s CryptoResearch page.
In a collaborative project between MIT and other institutes we’re in the process of creating together a new scholarly publication to disseminate impactful research on the topic of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. We intend this publication to provide an outlet for peer reviewed original research published alongside reviewers’ comments and analyses of ongoing research in order to further encourage transdisciplinary discussions in the community.
We welcome you to Cambridge this fall for a two-day gathering at the MIT Media Lab on October 5th and 6th focused on collaboratively building an interdisciplinary field of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology research. By gathering academics, practitioners and industry leaders from a variety of areas we aim to foster a fruitful exchange of ideas in preparation for the launch of a new Open Access journal published by The MIT Press, "Cryptoeconomic Systems".
There will be a broad cross-section of top researchers from academia and industry presenting and attending. Confirmed sessions include keynotes from Dahlia Malkhi (lead researcher at Calibra), Kevin Werbach (Wharton), Neha Narula (MIT DCI, co-EIC Cryptoeconomic Systems) and Andrew Miller (UIUC/IC3, co-EIC Cryptoeconomic Systems) with participatory discussions on ethics, publishing, peer review and interdisciplinary collaboration scheduled.
The conference will consist of two full days of presentations and discussion sessions. Full details are to follow.
